Funeral services for Maxine LaVonne Edwards, 67, of Burton, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Rev. David Edwards and Pastor Bob Hoffmann officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mrs. Edward died September 8, 2013 in Corsicana. Maxine Edwards was born December 6, 1945 in Houston to Max and Minnie Ojemann Zorn. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Tonya Edwards of Corsicana; brother and sister-in-law, James and Mary Jane Zorn, and brother, Mike Zorn, all of Burton; grandchild, Madison Edwards; nephews Lesley and Katy Zorn of Canyon, Capt. Aaron Zorn of Phoenix, AZ. and First Lt. Will Zorn of Killeen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister. Her cousins and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be directed to Bethany Christian Church of Burton, where she was a faithful member. Funeral arrangement for Maxine Edwards are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
