Mellie Grassmuck Wisnoski, 89, of Giddings, formerly of Brenham, died April 6, 2004, in Giddings Health Care Center. Mrs. Wisnoski was born Oct. 15, 1914, in Burton, TX, to John and Katherina McKenzie Grassmuck. She was baptized April 10, 1927, in Salem Lutheran Church by Pastor William Utesch and was confirmed April 13, 1930, in the same church. Mrs. Wisnoski attended Salem School. In 1933, she married Joe Wisnoski in Brenham. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Wisnoski was a member of St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham, where she was a member of the Altar Society. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Roger Brinkmeyer of Brenham; sister, B.K. Shovers of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Grady Havard of Kossie; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Karry Koch of Brenham, Margaret Grassmuck of Texas City, Sophia Ezzell of Channelview, Steve Wisnoski of Willis and Regina McDonald of Houston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wisnoski, on Nov. 30, 1996; one son; her parents; four brothers; and two sisters. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8 in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham with Father David Ivey, celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Brenham. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 7 in Memorial Oaks Chapel by the Parish Council of Catholic Women. The family will receive visitors from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be John Grassmuck, Douglas Grassmuck, David Grassmuck, Joseph Earl Havard, Ray Branner and Charles Butch Ordner. Memorials may be given to St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
