Merritt Dean Larson, 78, of Brenham, died January 5, 2010 in College Station Medical Center in College Station, Texas. Mr. Larson was born October 22, 1931 in Knoxville, IA to Nels and Elma Ann Williams Larson. He served his country in the U. S. Army as part of the 508th Airborne, where he was a Squadron Leader and earned his Parachutists Badge. He was a National Defense Service Member during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Larson obtained a BBA from TCU in 1968, and was employed by the University Hospital in San Antonio as director of environmental services. Camping, motorcycle riding, and water skiing were favorite pastimes. Survivors include a son, Perry Dean Larson of Oklahoma City, and daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Robert Aguilar of Brenham, as well as grandchildren Jerritt, Robin, and Seth Aguilar of Brenham. Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers, Frank and Vernon Larson. Graveside services for Merritt Dean Larson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010 in the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
