Michael John Mickey Kenjura, 55, of Brenham, died March 20, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Kenjura was born June 25, 1949, in Brenham, to Charles A. and Alma R. Loesch Kenjura. He was baptized June 26, 1949, in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham and was confirmed in the same church. Mr. Kenjura was educated in Brenham High School, Blinn College and the University of Houston. He served in the Army National Guard from 1971 to 1977. On Feb. 14, 1982, he married Vicky Tumlinson in Giddings. Mr. Kenjura was a member of St. Mary s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Texas Groundwater Association, Texas Chapter Texas Groundwater Association past president, the Elks, the Girl Scout board and Crimestoppers. He was the owner and operator of Kenjura''s Water Wells. Mr. Kenjura enjoyed raising cattle on the family land fourth generation. He was also a supporter of Brenham High School athletic programs, especially football, where he was seen on the sidelines every Friday night. Mr. Kenjura was the recipient of the first Joe Routt Memorial Award, given to a high school senior who best exemplifies ability, leadership, citizenship and dedication. He was especially proud of this award as it was personally presented by Joe Routt s mother. Survivors include his wife, Vicky Kenjura of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Jess Williams of College Station; daughter, Jennifer Kenjura of Brenham and special friend Tres Stuart; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Robert Kettler of Washington; granddaughter, Madison Kettler; mother, Alma Kenjura of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law, Atwood and Marilyn Kenjura of Brenham; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Jeton Tumlinson of San Angelo and Kathy and Larry Weishuhn of Round Rock; nieces and nephews, Kathryn Kenjura, Matt Kenjura, Deanna Weishuhn and Angela and Phillip Opdyke; stepnieces and stepnephews, Eric and Connie Appelt, Amy and Jimmy Walingford and Carrie and Andy Richardson; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Kenjura, on Jan. 20, 1997. A special thanks goes to Eric Appelt, M.D. for his caring and expertise during the hospitalization in San Antonio. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 23 in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham with Father Curt Lanzath, Father Benedict Zientek and Father David Ivey, celebrants. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The wake will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Rodney Kenjura, Johnny Lacina, Barry Blue, Tom Murski, Sam Murski, Joe Williams, Byron Martens, Gordon Lohmeyer and Joseph Vinklarek. Honorary pallbearers will be J.O. Siegert, David Schomberg, Leonard Bilski, Grover Sebastian, Charlie Matejowsky and John Forsythe.
