Mildred Louise Seale Heidemann, 90, of Brenham, died July 3, 2003, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Heidemann was born Sept. 30, 1912, in Karnes City, TX, to Fred C. and Hattie Knight Seale. She was baptized Nov. 23, 1913, in Karnes City. Mrs. Heidemann was a graduate of Sam Houston State University and earned her master s degree from Texas A&M University in College Station. On June 5, 1937, she was married to Herbert H. Heidemann in Houston by Rev. T.C. Jester. Mrs. Heidemann taught elementary school for 37 years in Burton and Brenham. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill; the Ladies Aid, which she loved; and the TSTA. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Fred and Karen Heidemann of Austin and Jack Heidemann of Mesa, Arizona; daughters and son-in-law, Glynne Nell and Robert Luetge of Hempstead and Judy Heidemann McElvoy of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren, Cheryl Townsend, Donna Land, Dennis L. Luetge, Joshua Heidemann, Michael Heidemann, Matthew Heidemann, Molly Heidemann and Jamie Heidemann; great-grandchildren, Jeannie Townsend and Bryan Townsend; sister, Roberta Tipton of Richardson; and sisters-in-law, Ann Seale of Austin, Nelda Wimberly of Burton and Margaret Heidemann of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers and one sister. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5 in St. John Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill with Dr. Sue Beall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 4 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Her grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
