Mildred Mertel Klingsporn Neinast, 92, widow of Clinton Neinast, passed away December 1, 2010 in Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastors Lawrence Bade and Philip Fenton will officiate. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Mildred was born October 1, 1918 in the Zionsville Community of Washington County to Emil and Alma Mueller Klingsporn. She was baptized December 22, 1918 in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church, and confirmed there on April 9, 1933. A 1936 graduate of Brenham High School, she married Clinton Neinast on February 14, 1940, also in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she continued her membership until her death. Mildred was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone for 23 years, and later operated Neinast Meat Center along with her husband Clinton. She was a past member of the Pilot Club, as well as the Ladies Aid at her church. Survivors include a niece, Dolores Klussmann and husband Wallace of Fredericksburg; nephews Fred Rau and wife Janice of Brenham, and William Klingsporn of Burton; sister-in-law Cervera Klingsporn of Burton; great-nieces and nephews Kim Sedgwick and husband Mike, Lisa Jones and husband Jon, Kyle Klussmann and wife Denise, Stacy Hardy and husband Trey, Dane Rau and wife Melonie, and Meredith Klingsporn and Will Klingsporn; great-great nieces and nephews: Chase and Libby Jones, Emily Sedgwick, Lance and Reagan Klussmann, Jenna, Leah, and Luke Hardy, Kade, Brady, and Nate Rau, as well as special caregiver, Nina Runge. Preceding her in death were her parents, Emil and Alma Klingsporn, her husband, Clinton Neinast, sister and brother-in-law Florence and Fritz Rau, brother Harold Klingsporn, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lilburn and Wilma Neinast. Serving as pallbearers are Robert P. Klingsporn, Marshall Everett, William H. Neinast, Kyle Klussmann, Dane Rau, and Trey Hardy.
