Milton Albert Drews, 84, of Brenham, died Sept. 8, 2015, in Scott and White Hospital in College Station. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville with Pastor Lawrence Bade officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mr. Drews was born June 13, 1931, in Hoddeville community, Washington County, TX, to Willie and Mollie Seilheimer Drews. He was baptized June 19, 1931 and confirmed April 14, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Drews was employed as a carpenter. On August 23, 1958, he was married to Elvera Beckermann at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine. Mr. Drews was a member of the American Legion, Gay Hill Sons of Hermann, Zionsville Bluebonnet Club and Berlin-Mill Creek-Zionsville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council. Survivors include his wife, Elvera Beckermann Drews of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Paul Cmajdalka of Brenham; grandchildren, Andrew and Christine Cmajdalka and Kyla Cmajdalka; great-granddaughter, Harper Rae Cmajdalka; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Weldon Krinke of Brenham; sisters-in-law, Viola Weiss, Ruth Ganske, JoAnn Beckermann and Betty Beckermann; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sister-in-law, Leroy and Joyce Drews and Willie Jr. and Alvira Drews; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Wilfred Hohlt; parents-in-law, Henry and Lilly Hodde Beckermann; brothers-in-law, Fred Beckermann, Dennis Beckermann, Walldon Schultz, Milton Lorenz, Herman Weiss and Erwin Ganske; niece, Linda Krinke Scott; nephews, Fred Beckermann Jr. and James Koronka; and great-nephew, Lance Koronka-Quinn. Pallbearers will be Andrew Cmajdalka, Ronnie Hohlt, Rickey Gaskamp, Craig Blum, Gary Krinke, Roy Beckermann, Hank Beckermann and James Schulze. Honorary pallbearers will be all remaining nephews, Will Klingsporn, Ben Meyer, Sons of Hermann Gay Hill Lodge, Kelm''s Store Bunch and Zionsville Bluebonnet Club.
