Milton Pieper

Milton Raymond Pieper, 68, passed away September 14, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2016 at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, with Pastor Jill Vivroux officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Milton was born May 28, 1948 in Brenham to Elton William and Elsie Tiemann Pieper. He was baptized July 11, 1948, and confirmed June 2, 1963. After completing his education, he served his country in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam era, and was stationed in Alaska. Milton was employed as an electrician. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, as well as the Pleasant Hill/New Wehdem Shooting Club.

Survivors include his mother, Elsie Pieper of Brenham; daughter, Jaena Marie Edwards of San Angelo; brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Bonnie Pieper of Brenham; nieces: Lee Megan Freitag and husband Kyle, and their daughter, Vivienne, of Bellville; Audrey Meredith Zaffini and husband Carlos of Austin.

Milton was preceded in death by his father, Elton William Pieper.

Serving as pallbearers are Troy Hanath, Larry Tegeler, Ralph Tiemann, Weldon Emshoff, Erwin Sander, Eddie Hugo, Reuben Mikeska, and Clay Bolton.

Honorary pallbearers are Allan Siemsglusz, Nathan Winkelmann, Kris Standage, Jan Edwards, as well as his K&M buddies, and all his hunting and fishing buddies.

Memorials may be directed to the General Fund of St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
