Mitzi King

Mitzi Suzett King was born Dec. 2, 1970 to parents Everitt J. and Bonnie King. She died in Brenham on Feb. 28, 2013. In 1975, Mitzi moved to Brenham State School. She was a graduate of Brenham High School, and a devoted, baptized, and confirmed member of Salem Lutheran Church of Brenham. She was baptized March 18, 1979 and confirmed March 25, 1990 by Pastor William Derrick. Mitzi met every obstacle in life with dignity and perseverance. She truly never met a stranger, and if you met her, you were blessed to be "her favorite." Her love had no boundary and her happiness was complete. Mitzi is survived by her mother, Bonnie King of College station; brother, Terry Jenny King and nephew Jake and niece Sophie King of Austin. She is also survived by her devoted guardian, Linda Thomas of Brenham. Her extended loving family includes the Perry and Betty Thomas family; Floya Ann and Harvey Merten family; LaVern Reuter family, and special friend, Vera Lynn Schoppe. She was preceded in death by her father and her beloved "Nanny" and "Pappo", Marie and Buddy Thomas. Funeral services for Mitzi King are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Salem Lutheran, with Pastor Charles Parnell and Toby Burk officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Perry Nicky Thomas, Jerry Merten, James Arnold, Darrell Plagens, John Bilski, Dr. Bruce Bockhorn, Glenn Vierus, Jr. and Terry King.
