Morris Marvin Wunderlich, 81, husband of Joyce Wunderlich, died Sept. 2, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2014 at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church of Rehburg, with Pastor Denise Seymour officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Morris Wunderlich was born January 12, 1933 in Round Top to Louis Otto and Emma Miksch Wunderlich. He completed his high school education in Fayette Co. and on June 3, 1995, he was married to Joyce Malkey. Mr. Wunderlich was self-employed in the appliance business. Mr. Wunderlich served on the council of St. Paul''s Lutheran Church of Rehburg. He also served his community as a Cub Scout Leader, and was a member of the Lions Club. Fishing was a favorite pastime and really enjoyed bragging about his RTC Round Top-Carmine Basketball days. He also enjoyed traveling, taking in the beautiful scenery of the countryside on his journeys. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Malkey Wunderlich, of Burton; sons Roy Mercer and wife Wanda of Rosenberg; Kenton W. Wunderlich of Klein, Rodney Wunderlich and wife Lou of Tomball, Jasper Mercer of Brenham, and daughter, Pamela Gomez of Syracuse, NY. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as special friends Mary Andujo and Heather Andujo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Emma Wunderlich, and his sisters, Bernice Dyer, Irma Kieke, Vera Brau, and Esther Schlabach. Serving as pallbearers are Allen Wickel, Don Meier, Walter Schlabach, Douglas Carter, Quentin Routt, Johnnie Baranowski, Charlie Willis, and Jason Lange. Dr. Robert Haydon, Patricia Anderson, James Urban, and will be considered honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg, 4450 FM 1948, Burton, Tx. 77835.
