Naomi “Mimi” Trevino Janes, 51, died February 25, 2017 at CHI St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, Texas.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 3, 2017 at Wesley Brethren Church, with Pastor Michael Groseclose officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Naomi “Mimi” Janes was born April 19, 1965 in Houston to Fidel Jr. and Maria Angie Trevino.
On January 18, 1991, Naomi was married to Charles H. Janes at the First Assembly of God Church in Brenham. Affectionately known as “Mimi”, she took care of her family as a homemaker. Her family was very important to her, and she especially loved taking care of her grandchildren. She always made sure they, along with friends, were well taken care of. Naomi enjoyed visiting with family and friends, sweets, and and watching older t.v. shows. She was a member of Wesley Brethren Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Janes of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law Ernesto Ortega III and Lillian Torres of Brenham; daughters and son-in-law Andreana and Karl Dannhaeuser of Washington, and Samantha Janes of Brenham; brothers and sisters-in-law Fidel and Charlotte Trevino and Albert and Ludy Trevino; sisters and brothers-in-law: Linda and Phil Engelke, Rosemary and Jim Hall, Anna and Mike Farrer, and Ruth and Jr. Horndt; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Delbert and Dawn Janes, and Stephen and Meagan Janes; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Barbara and John Gossett, Sharon Janes and friend Landon Levien, Mary and Luke Levien, and Fay and Brandon Busse; grandchildren: Naomi Villarreal, Beautiful Valdez, Sapphire Valdez, Scarlett Valdez, Kaiser Dannhaeuser, and Esmeralda and Victor Torres. Also surviving is her mother-in-law, Fay Janes, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Fidel and Angie Trevino; father-in-law, Charles S. Janes, and brother-in-law, Charles Vasquez.
Serving as pallbearers are Ernesto Ortega III, Brandon Busse, Chris Farrer, David Vasquez, Albert Trevino, Kevin Trevino, Luke Levien, Jeff McIntire, and Brandon Ahrens. Honorary pallbearers are Karl Dannhaeuser, Naomi Villarreal, Kaiser Dannhaeuser, Beautiful Valdez, Sapphire Valdez, Scarlett Valdez, Esmeralda Torres, and Victor Torres.
Memorials may be directed to the Wesley Brethren Church Cemetery.
