Nestora Torrez

Nestora Maria Torrez, 60, wife of Reynaldo Torrez, died April 27, 2010 in Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Nestora was born September 11, 1946 in Brownsville, Texas to Enrique A. and Beatrice S. Hernandez. Survivors include her husband, Reynaldo Torrez; sons and daughters-in-law Reynaldo Jr. and Chantel Torrez, and Juan and Claudia Torrez of Brenham; grandchildren Kristin Torrez, Jessie Rey Torrez, Marisol Torrez, Juan Torrez, Jr., Cynthia Torrez, and Kailey Torrez. Also surviving are four brothers and two sisters. Nestora was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services for Nestora Maria Torrez will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at Memorial Oaks Chapel Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Alfonso Cardenas, Alfonso Cardenas, Jr., Adam Cardenas, Joe Cardenas, Marshall Surovik, and Jessie Rey Torrez.
