Nicholas Hodde

Nicholas Ryan Hodde, 23, of Brenham, TX, joined our Father in Heaven on Sept. 3, 2004, near Clay in Burleson County, TX. Nick was born Sept. 9, 1980, in Brenham, TX, to A.A. Hodde and Margaret Gutowski Hodde. He was a 1999 graduate of Brenham High School and attended Blinn College. Nick was married to Megan McMillan and was employed by his father. Nick enjoyed fishing, was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed old black and white films. Survivors include his wife, Megan Hodde of Brenham; stepdaughter, MacKenzie M. McMillan of Brenham; father, A.A. Hodde and wife Tina of Brenham; mother, Margaret Hodde of Brenham; brothers and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Edwin Hodde of Brenham, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Scott Hodde of Long Point, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wayne Hodde of Denton, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dean Hodde of Bartonville, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Stuart Nanco of Albuquerque, NM, and Pamela and Danny Muegge of William Penn; grandmother, Helen Mickie of Brenham; mother-in-law, Donna Richardson and husband David of Brenham; father-in-law, Ricky McMillan and wife Madeline of Trinity; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive visitors in Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 in Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham with Sonny Rice officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Robert Hodde, John Hodde, Johnny Nelson, Humberto Hernandez, Kyle Kendall and Justin Blake. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Hodde, Russell Hodde, Scott Hodde, Allan Stuart Nanco, Paul and Connie Kendall and Bradley and Patsy Fischer. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
