Nora Lee was born on August 4, 1941 to Marvin Sr. and Annie (Schulz) Struck. On July 31, 1960 she was united in marriage to her beloved husband of 40 years, Monroe John Goldberg, at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg where she was a lifelong member.
Never afraid of hard work, she was a dedicated employee of Steadley Company/Leggett & Platt in Brenham where she made frames for mattresses for close to 40 years. Aside from being a hard worker, Nora Lee was known for her tender heart and was a dedicated care taker. A gifted volleyball and basketball player herself, Nora Lee loved sports! She was a staple at Burton sporting events where her Panther Pride was unmatched. Her love of games and competition was shared with her grandchildren where she spent countless hours playing dominoes, Uno, Yahtzee - never just letting them win. And for those who did not know her as Granny Nora Lee, she was Nanny Nora Lee serving as "bonus" grandmother to countless kids in her life. Nora Lee also enjoyed traveling with her friends - particularly if there was a casino involved. She especially cherished her friendship with "The Virginias" - Virginia Fischer and Virginia Roberts. Together they formed a fabulous trio and shared a special sisterly bond that spanned many amazing decades.
Nora Lee joins in heaven her husband, Monroe John Goldberg; daughter, Cynthia Dawn Goldberg; parents, Marvin Sr. and Annie (Schulz) Struck; father and mother-in-law, John and Lillie (Fischer) Goldberg; sister, Verna May Reuter; brothers-in-law Berry Lee Goldberg and Lavern John Reuter; and nieces Lisa Lynn Goldberg and Melissa Reuter.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brenda (Goldberg) and Marcus Randermann, and Larry and Tammy Goldberg; grandchildren Stacy and Lucas Roach, Taurie and Tanner Sloan, Darren Goldberg, Dillon Randermann, Garrett and Jessica Ginn, and Taylor Ginn; great-grandchildren Ryleigh and Olivia Roach, Tessa Sloan, Kaydence and Gunner Ginn; brother, Marvin Struck Jr.; sister-in-law, Delores Goldberg; nephew, John and Marie Reuter; nieces Rebecca and Chris Coronado and Jessica and Jesse House; along with numerous grandnieces and nephews.
