Norma Burrous

Norma Jean Burrous, 70, of Brenham, widow of Robert Burrous, passed away August 1, 2008 in Brenham Rest Home. Mrs. Burrous was born January 2, 1938 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to George Milton and Mary Walker Stewart. She was baptized in the Baptist faith in Texas City, Texas, and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown. Norma was a homemaker. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Stacy and Jack Fisher, Jr. of Brenham and a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Shirley Patton of Dickinson; sisters Betty Hughes and Georgia Lemen, both of Huntington, Texas; special friend Lola Wilson of Brenham, and two grandchildren, Leah Fisher and Blake Fisher. A visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday, Aug. 2 at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The graveside service will take place Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham with Rev. Bob Craig officiating. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
