Norma Ripple

Norma Hedwig Renz Ripple, 89, of Giddings, TX, died March 23, 2004, in Country Careplex in Giddings. Mrs. Ripple was born June 9, 1914, in the Long Point community of Washington County, TX to William and Anna Brauner Renz. She was baptized in St. Peter s Lutheran Church in Gay Hill and was confirmed in 1930 in Gay Hill. She attended Gay Hill School. In 1931, she married Charlie Joe Ripple in Seguin, TX. Mrs. Ripple was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg and was a restaurant owner. Survivors include her son, Roney Ripple of Dale; daughter, Virginia Neinast of Burton, sister, Lillie Vines of Brenham; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William Renz; mother, Anna Brauner Renz Jaster; husband, Charlie Joe Ripple; children, Charles Butch Ripple and Linda Kay Ripple; sisters, Elsie Kolwes Haevischer and Gerlene Roehling; brother, Ervin Renz; grandson, Gary Ripple; and twin granddaughters, Sharin and Karin Kloecker. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 26 in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg with Pastor Larry Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Bobby Kloecker, Ricky Ripple, Kenneth Ripple, Wayne Sunderhuse, Douglas Roehling and Larry Roehling. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg, Camp For All, or the Alzheimer s Association. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham, TX.
