O.C. Lindsey, 71, of Brenham, died Jan. 28, 2007, in Methodist Hospital in Houston, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Lindsey was born Dec. 9, 1935, in Groesbeck, Texas, to Charlie and Emmie Sanders Lindsey. On Jan. 6, 1964, he was married to Carol Jean Von Minden in Brenham. Mr. Lindsey was a driver for Oak Farms Dairy and was a member of Cornerstone Christian Center in Brenham. Survivors include his wife, Jeanie Lindsey of Brenham; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin and Sherri Lindsey of Brenham and John Lindsey and special friend Kerry Cowlishaw of Austin; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherryl and Tommy Plagens of Brenham, Rose and James West of Livingston and Kim and Jon Hodde of Brenham; nine grandchildren, Chris Plagens, April Hare and Doug, Kelly Younger and Casey, Misty Hodde-Maynard and Brian, Chelsea Plagens and John, Matthew Bruce, Mandy Hodde, Christina Sager and Samantha Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Shelbi Younger, Billy, Perry and Destiny Hare; one brother and sister-in-law, J.C. and Eva Lindsey of Brazoria; his mother-in-law, Curlie Von Minden of Brenham; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and his father-in-law. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Cornerstone Christian Center in Brenham with Rev. Doug Wheeler and Rev. Floyd Key officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Memorials may be given to the building program of Cornerstone Christian Center.
