Olan Curtis Seale, 87, husband of Walline L. Studhalter Seale, died peacefully on November 13, 2012 in Brenham Rest Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with burial to follow in St. Peter''s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Gay Hill. Olan Seale was born February 6, 1925 in Groesbeck, Texas in rural Limestone County to James Troy and Callie Buffington Seale. At an early age, his family moved to Pennington, Texas where he attended school. He served in the Army Medics during World War II. He was baptized and confirmed in Grace Lutheran Church in Channelview. On April 26, 1948, he was married to Walline Studhalter in Houston, and they made made their home in Channelview. Olan was employed at Armco Steel for many years. He was also an avid poultry and cattle farmer. After he retired in 1995, the family moved to Washington County. A member of St. Peter''s Lutheran Church of Gay Hill, Olan was also a member of American Legion Buddy Wright Post 48. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and treasured time spent with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Carl, Earl, Jude, and Grady Seale, and sisters, Ada Cope, Mary Cope, and Annie Mae Ferguson, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otto and Clara Studhalter, as well as brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alvin and Adeline Studhalter. Survivors include his loving wife, Walline Seale of Brenham; son Curtis Seale of Channelview; daughter Cathy and Stephen Mallon, both of Alba, TX.; grandchildren: Patrick and wife Carrie McMillan, Bryan Seale, Christopher Seale, and wife Casey, Julie Williams and husband Lyle; great-grandchildren: Macee, Emma and Harper McMillan, Caden and Trevor Stewart, Summer Seale, Kendyll Williams, and Ryleigh Seale; sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Milton Haack, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws Edwin and Annie Mae Studhalter, and Edward and Judy Studhalter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are James Allen , Don Lee Studhalter, Sammy Studhalter, Robert Smith, Gene King, and Billy Wayne Seale. The family would like to thank Hospice Brazos Valley for their care of Olan. Special thanks to nieces Jean King and Janice Broussard.
