Olen "Buddy" Moye

February 9, 1959 — February 9, 2025

Olen LeRoy (Buddy) Moye passed away peacefully on his 66th birthday, February 9, 2025 in College Station, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas to Joseph Edward and Eddie Imogene (Crump) Moye.

Buddy was a truck driver his entire life working with various companies, most recently with MG Feed in Weimar, Texas. He earned over four million safe miles during his career, which is quite an accomplishment. He and his ex-wife Kathy were together thirty-eight years but remained close. They had two sons, Christopher and Cody.

Buddy loved spending time entertaining family and friends. He loved barbequing and over the years entered many cook offs taking top prizes for his ribs and beans. He enjoyed long rides on his Harley exploring new places and meeting new people. He loved fishing and all outdoor activities, especially those that involved live music.

Buddy's pride and joy was his grandson Beckett. He cherished his time with him.

To know Buddy was to know a great man. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, husband and a friend to all. He was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.

Buddy is survived by Kathy; his loving son, Cody; daughter-in- law, Kaitlyn; grandson, Beckett; fiancée of Christopher, Morgan Miller; along with brother, Joseph Moye and his wife, Sandra; sisters, Sheron Morrison, Ida Fry, Linda Norris, Nina Leveritt and her husband, Rick; his uncle, Leroy Crump and his wife. Marilyn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Christopher, his brother, William, and nephews, Elijah and Timothy Moye.

Serving as pallbearers: Cody Moye, Colton Vasut, Chase Vasut, Brad Moffett, Pat Kahlen and Billy Welsh.

Funeral services will be held on February 22, 2025, at 1 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, Texas. Graveside internment to follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery immediately after.
