Ora Dallmeyer

Ora Nell Louise Dallmeyer, 87, of Brenham, died Nov. 28, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Miss Dallmeyer was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Burton, Texas, to Fred W. and Alma Fuchs Dallmeyer. She was baptized May 14, 1918 in her parents home in Burton by Rev. L. Hoefer and was confirmed on Palm Sunday, 1931 in Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine by Rev. H. Brunotte. She attended Boundary School. Miss Dallmeyer worked 16 years in food service at Blinn College. She was a member of St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Circle. She was also a member of the Sons of Hermann. Survivors include her niece, Betsy Matthies of Burton; nephews, Darrell and Kay Matthies of Brenham and Dale Matthies of Burton; great-nieces and great-nephews, Heidi Jaster of Burton, Wyatt Matthies of Burton, Ashlie Matthies of Brenham, Megan Matthies of San Marcos, Michelle Matthies of Bryan, Morgan Matthies of Brenham, Lance Matthies of Burton and Carl Matthies of Burton; great-great-nephew, Saeger Jaster; sister-in-law, Elvera Dallmeyer of Burton; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Fred Dallmeyer; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Weldon Matthies; and a nephew, David Matthies. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1 in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastor Lawrence Bade and Pastor Kim Little-Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Her great-nieces and great-nephews will serve as pallbearers. Her neighbors, the Whatley family and the Davis Family, and all her special friends, will be considered honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
