Ora Murski

Ora Nell Ruth Murski, 69, of Brenham, died Oct. 11, 2006, in a Houston hospital. Mrs. Murski was born Dec. 26, 1936, in Burton, Texas, to William August and Mamie Olivia Maass Kokemor. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John s United Church of Christ in Burton. She was a graduate of Burton High School and attended Blinn College. On Nov. 29, 1964, she was married to Robert Murski in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. Mrs. Murski was a bank teller at various banks retiring from Bank One. She was a member of St. Mary s Catholic Church, where she served as a past parish council member. Mrs. Murski was a past officer of the Washington County Aggie Moms. She loved plants, flowers and birds, especially hummingbirds. Her favorite times were those spent with her grandchildren. She had a great compassion for the lonely, sick and elderly, who she visited or talked to often. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary, and her special cards and letters will be remembered by all. She is survived by her husband, Robert Murski of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Lynda Murski of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jonathan Zschech of Sugar Land; 4 grandchildren, Steven and Ashley Murski and Andrew and Madeline Zschech; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Ginny Kokemor of Hatfield, Pennsylvania, Clarence and Dollie Kokemor of Brenham and Jackie Kokemor of Oxnard, California; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rita and Terry Willis of Houston and Mary and Ben Trombatore of Cypress. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Milford Kokemor and Elroy Kokemor; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stephen and Angela Murski. A wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham with Father David Ivey and Father Curt Lanzrath, celebrants. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Tom Murski, Donald Becker, Ben Trombatore, Chad Geaslin, Chris Schroeder, Eugene Murski and Ray Murski. Honorary pallbearer will be William Kokemor. Memorials may be given to the Huntington Disease Society of American, in care of Chase Bank of Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
