Oran Fred Neutzler, 81, of Brenham, died Sept. 26, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mr. Neutzler was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Burton, Texas, to Otto J. and Hedwig Krause Neutzler. He was baptized March 4, 1924, in Greenvine and was confirmed April 10, 1938 in Greenvine. He attended Boundary School and served in the U.S. Army in Japan from 1948 until 1950. Mr. Neutzler was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine, the La Bahia Turn Verein and the VFW. He was a retired plumber for Wittner Plumbing. Survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law, Elmer and Lillie Neutzler and Wilburn Gabby Neutzler, all of Brenham; a sister-in-law, Erna Mae Neutzler of Somerville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine with Pastor Pam Werrell officiating. Burial will be in the La Bahia Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine or the La Bahia Cemetery Association. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
