Oranell Loesch

OraNell Loesch, 87, of Brenham, TX, died on December 13, 2022 in Brenham, TX. A visitation will be held from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022 and with the family present from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Evan Cameron officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Burton, TX.

OraNell was born on April 17, 1935 in Burton, TX to William and Lydia Sturm Bayer. She graduated from Burton High School.

OraNell was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. She loved sewing, cooking, gathering materials for sewing projects, and worked as a cafeteria cook at Brenham Elementary School. Most of all she loved spending time with her daughter, Patsy. She would say Patsy was the best thing in her life. They loved to laugh, joke together, and bug one another.

OraNell is survived by her daughter, Patsy Lynn Loesch of Brenham, TX; sister, Lilly May Cendalski; sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie and husband Billy Blocker; Special friend, Kim Shows; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin W. Loesch; parents; in-laws; siblings, Daniel Bayer, Joe Bayer, Frances Lehmann; brothers-in-law, Bruno Cendalski, and Alvin Lehmann; and sister-in-law, Joanne Bayer.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Brazos Valley, St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, or any charitable organization supporting research on Alzheimer’s and stroke.
