Oren Baker

Oren Edward Baker, 86, of Brenham, TX, died on September 28, 2020 in Brenham.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Maltas officiating.

A visitation will be held at 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2020 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Mr. Baker was born on April 6, 1934 in Lindsay, OK to James W. and Mary T. Webb Baker. He worked as a Geo Physicist in the oil and gas industry. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Baker was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brenham. He liked to fish, maintaining his yard, crossword puzzles, and watching old t.v. shows in his past time.

Mr. Baker is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steve Baker and his wife Angie of Brenham, TX; sister, Gerri Webb of California; grandchildren, Callie Patterson, Virginia Boughter and her husband Jason, Sarah Lewis and her husband Robb, and James Baker; great-grandchildren, Mitchell Boughter, Amelia Boughter, Charlotte Lewis, Millie Lewis; his puppy Murphy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Baker; son, David Baker; and brother, Truman Baker.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
