Otha McKinzie, 94, of Brenham, died Feb. 20, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mr. McKinzie was born July 8, 1910, in Coryell County, Texas, to Jasper Walter and Katie Bell Ward McKinzie. In 1931, he married Nell Farmer. Mr. McKinzie was a retired master electrician in the Houston area. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby M. and Bobbie McKinzie of Brenham; grandchildren, Elizabeth A. McKinzie of Brenham, Bobby M. McKinzie II and wife Melea of Elizabeth, Colorado, and David A. McKinzie of Brenham; four great-grandchildren, Bradley Adam McKinzie, Jay Daniel McKinzie, Nikki R. McKinzie and Blaise A. McKinzie; one great-great-grandson, Tanner J. McKinzie; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda L. and Gene Landrum of Shreveport, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell McKinzie; parents, Katie Bell and Jasper Walter McKinzie; and brother, Walter McKinzie. The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 in Osage Cemetery in Osage, Coryell County, TX. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandson; and nephew, Billy Walter McKinzie and wife, Inez McKinzie. Service arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
