With a heavy heart we share the passing of Patricia Ann Ford of Burton. Patricia who was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law and friend, passed away on December 18, 2024 at Baylor Scott and White in Temple.
Patricia was born November 21, 1949 to Harold Steven and Dorothy Ann Knittle McGill. On April 4, 1970 she was united in marriage to Wayne Rudolph Ford. To this union were two daughters, Valerie and Jennifer.
Patricia attended Durham Business College, prior to retirement she worked as a county clerk in the JP office.
Patricia enjoyed playing dominoes, attending church activities, cooking and gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She cherished every second spent with her granddaughters.
Attending church was important to her. She was devoted to her family and her faith.
Patricia was known for her love of others. She spent over two years caring for her mother. Her boundless love for her German Shepard, Jake will also be remembered.
Patricia is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her children Valerie Ford of Brenham and her former husband Cory Marrs and Jennifer and her husband Lance Coil of Ledbetter, grandchildren Presley Ford, Somerlin and Linleigh Coil, and sister-in-law Jody McGill of Burton. Other relatives that are left to carry her spirit in their hearts will be nieces Shirley McGill, Great nieces Mikaela Lucier and Summer Lacey, Nephew Mark McGill, Keith McGill (Courtney), Steven McGill (Autum), and Great nephews Andrew McGill and Jackson McGill. Special friend Joyce Gantt will also feel the void of her absence keenly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, parents Harold and Dorothy McGill and her brother Jim McGill.
Funeral services will be held January 4, 2024 at Bethany Christian Church in Burton at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Bob Hoffman presiding.
