Patricia "Pat" Ann Smith Klussmann, 57, of Brenham, the wife of Wayne Klussmann, died on November 11, 2012, after a short and courageous battle with cancer at Scott & White Hospital of Brenham, surrounded by friends and family. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday November 14, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn, with Pastors Jeffery King, and Gilbert Franke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday November 13, at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pat was born on December 6, 1954 to Carl O''Neil and Nesa Marie Melancon Smith. On September 14, 1972 Pat married Melvin Wayne Klussmann. She was a graduate of Brenham High School the class of ''73. Pat was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn where she taught Sunday School, was a youth league sponsor, and member of the LWML. She was a Sandy Hill 4-H Club manager for 25 years, a Girl Scout leader, and AAL Branch 2247 Secretary. Her employment was Office Manager of Herwald Pest Control for 19 years, and Accounts Receivable Department at Blue Bell Creameries for almost 16 years. Pat could not go anywhere without her camera, she was on the Country Creations Committee of Washington County Fair. Nana Pat cherished spending time with her grandkids at sporting events, livestock shows, and many other activities. Survivors include her husband Melvin Wayne Klussmann, daughters and sons-in-law; Sharon and Jeff Schwartz of Brenham, Robin and John See, III of Snook, and Megan and Christian Fridye of Brenham, sister and brother-in-law: Cathy and Richard Wilde of Boonsboro, Maryland, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Raymond and Gloria Ann Klussmann of Brenham, Randy and Lois Klussmann of Brenham, sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Rosemary and Bobby Thornton of Dobbins, grandchildren; Hanna and Logan Schwartz, Carlee, Natalee, William and Wesley See, her beloved puppy Abby, honorary son and daughter-in-law; Wade and Mandy Collins of Chanute, Kansas, honorary mom; Edna Driver of Spring, honorary grandchildren; Sage and Lawson Collins and special friends; Melvin and Shirley Ashorn, John and Susan Karbowski, Sheryl Schroeder, Lynn Van Eman, Blue Bell family, and William Penn Crew. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law and honorary father Johnnie Driver. Serving as pallbearers are; Bert Klussmann, Bradley Klussmann, Brian Klussmann, Cole Klussmann, Scott Thornton, James Murphy, and Randall Zwernemann. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren. Memorial may be directed to: Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn, or Hospice Brazos Valley - Brenham.
