Patricia Roese

Patricia Eleanor West Roese, 92, of Washington, died April 5, 2012, in Brenham Rest Home. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 9 at Friedens Church UCC in Washington with Pastor Greg Felder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Roese was born March 17, 1920, in Oklahoma, to John Westly and Mary Horton West. She was a librarian for the Houston Chronicle. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Michael Parker of Washington and Sheila and Ricky Ripple of Burton; brother, Paul West; sister, Violet Dennis; sisters-in-law, Frances Roese and Mary Roese Homeyer; grandchildren, John-Michael Parker, Joshua Parker, Victoria Parker and Shelby Parker; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilbert W. Roese, a sister Alma West, and two brothers John Wesley West and Richard West. Memorials may be given to Friedens Church UCC in Washington, Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village in Brenham or a favorite charity. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
