Patrick Heard

Patrick Lawrence Heard (64) passed away on November 9, 2017 in Brenham Texas. He succumbed to advanced Lymphoma.

Patrick was born at St. Josephs Hospital in Houston Texas on December 9, 1953. In 1955 Patrick, with his family, moved to Huntsville Texas. There, began his life long fascination with large trucks and tractors. The family lived on old Highway 75 North which was a very busy truck route before the freeway was built He would run from home to the side of the highway to watch the trucks. This became problematic and eventually became one of many reasons Patrick became a resident at Austin State School in Austin Texas.

Patrick moved to Brenham State School in May, 1993, where he has resided until his death. By all appearances, Patrick was happy and content with his life in Brenham. He enjoyed his work and all his acquaintances there. Patrick was friendly and in fact, quite exuberant in his affection for people he liked. Patrick, while outgoing and friendly, was not to be trifled with. On occasion, he made it clear his displeasure with people that crossed him. Patrick will be missed by all his life affected.

Patrick is survived by his loving family, older brothers John F. Heard Jr., William M. Heard with Sister-in-law Deborah, younger brother, Joseph M. Heard with Sister-in-law Kay, younger sister, Mary M. Heard and family, along with a host of relatives.

Patrick will join eternal rest in the arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ, with his loving and devoted parents, John F. Heard and Lula Faye Mitchell Heard, older sister Elaine Heard, and older brother Stephen T. Heard at Forest Park Cemetery, Garden Of Gethsemane Catholic section in Houston Texas.
