Patrick Tahaney

Patrick Gordon Tahaney went to be with the Lord on July 8th, 2017. He was born on September 16th, 1952 in Port Arthur, Texas. Pat always said his life truly began on March 13, 1999 when he married the love of his life, Nancy Alice Tarver.

Pat was proud to serve his country in the Army Special Forces as a member of the Green Berets. Pat was an active member of Brenham's First Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed time with grandchildren Alice and Andrew. Cruising, dancing, reading, and playing with his cats were some of his favorite pastimes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Katie Beatrice Conerly Tahaney and Charles Joseph Tahaney and his mother in-law, Marjorie Alice Tarver.

Pat's survivors include his wife Nancy and siblings, John Tahaney and wife Carolyn, Stedman Tahaney and wife Gail, Charlotte Tahaney Warren, and Michael Tahaney and wife Rackie, and sister-in-law Mary Taylor. His children include Elizabeth Vein Webb and husband Daniel , Cassie Tahaney Rudolph and husband Nick, Amber Tahaney Courtney and husband Travis, Katie Tahaney Anderson and husband Nathan, and Matthew Tahaney.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 11th from 5:00- 6:30 p.m. with funeral following at 7:00 p.m. both at Memorial Oaks Chapel 1306 W Main, Brenham. Burial will be held July 15th at 10:00 am at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood, TX.
