Pauline Verna "Doll" Gorzycki, 87, of Brenham, died April 1, 2010 in Trinity Care Center. Doll was born January 1, 1923 in the Tottenham Community of Washington County to William and Mary Catherine Gorski Gorzycki. She was baptized January 1, 1923 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill by Rev. Max Budnik. Doll attended Tottenham area schools. For many years, she worked as a waitress in the family-owned Green Valley Restaurant in Brenham, and later for Willie''s Steakhouse. A member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church, she was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her sister, Natalie Kelling, sister-in-law Rita Gorzycki, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Josephine Gorzycki, John Gorzycki, Helen Audish, Bruno Gorzycki, Louise Joswiak, William Gorzycki, Stanley Gorzycki, and Stella Ogrodowski . Funeral services for Pauline Verna "Doll" Gorzycki will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary''s Catholic Church with Father Bradford Hernandez, officiant. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be celebrated Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Brazos Valley.
