Pearl Lamb, 85, of Brenham, died Aug. 31, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Lamb was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Jacksonville, TX, to Earl M. and Ethel Jewel Chalfant Kilmer. She was educated in Jacksonville High School, Lon Morris Junior College and West Texas State University. She was a retired teacher and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brenham. Mrs. Lamb was a member of the Bridge Club and Birthday Club. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Rene Lamb of Matagorda; daughter, Susan Tipton of Clute; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of very special friends who enjoyed bridge and other games and just good old fellowship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charlie Wood Lamb; one brother; and one sister. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3 in First United Methodist Church in Brenham with Dr. Wesley Wellborn, Rev. Jerry House, Rev. Jim Crawford and Rev. Fred Trevino officiating. The graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Evans Chapel Cemetery in Madison County with Rev. Lee Lamb and Rev. Jim Crawford officiating. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church in Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., Brenham.
