Peggy Ann Baker Grabarschick, 70, of Lyons, Texas, died Aug. 31, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham, after a courageous 15-year battle with cancer. Mrs. Grabarschick was born Aug. 4, 1934, in George County, Mississippi, to Floyd and Cammie Pope Baker. On June 16, 1983, she was married to Herbert Red Grabarschick, Jr. in Washington County, Texas. She was a secretary for Alexander Oil Co. Survivors include her husband, Herbert Red Grabarschick, Jr. of Lyons; sons and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Debbie Seal of Mississippi, James Seal of Mississippi, Brian Adamany of Wisconsin and Edward Stafford of Texas; daughters and son-in-law, Shawnee and Obren Djordjevic of Brenham and Linda Christian of Alabama; stepson, Duane Grabarschick of Lufkin; brothers and sister-in-law, Dudley and Mildred Baker of Mississippi and Sonny Baker of Washington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna Earl and Leslie M. Williams, Bobbie and Ronald Williams, Francis Fairley and Glenda Sue and Jim Hulsey, all of Mississippi; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lawrence Baker; and grandson, Trevor Cook. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2 in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Virgil Pecht officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Brett Coghlan, Clyde Vierus, Jimmy Kettler, Larry Richardson, Robert Grabarschick, Bobby Cook, David Herrmann and Jimmy Maurer. Honorary pallbearers will be Baker and Tommy Williams, Greg and Marty Fairley, Kevin Hulsey and Les and Bud Williams. Memorials may be given to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Hospice Brazos Valley, or St. Peter s Lutheran Church in Gay Hill. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
