Peggy Miller

Funeral services for Peggy Miller, 75, of Brenham, wife of L. W. Miller, Jr. are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Virgil Pecht officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday evening from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Peggy Miller passed away Sept. 3, 2012 in Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. She was born in the Long Point Community of Washington County on Oct. 20, 1936 to Robert J. and Emma Lange Renz. She attended Washington County schools, and on May 7, 1959, she was married to L. W. Miller in Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville, where she remained a member until her death. Peggy was employed at St. Anthony''s Cleaners for almost 10 years, and later at Smithville Pharmacy for a number of years. She lovingly served her family as a homemaker, enjoying crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, L. W. Miller, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Craig Dean and Cynthia Miller of Cypress, and her granddaughter, Emma May Miller, also of Cypress, nieces Jo Ann Lehde and husband Vernon, and Sharon Kay Collins and husband James, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers. Serving as pallbearers are Craig Miller, Howard Hardan, Herbert Hardan, Billy Morgan, Vernon Lehde, and Dr. Powell Knight. Nieces Jo Ann Lehde and husband Vernon, and Sharon Kay Collins and husband James, will be honorary pallbearers Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville.
