Peggy Ponfick

Peggy Jean Ponfick, 78, of Brenham, died on October 1, 201, at the College Station Medical Center in Bryan. Graveside service for Peggy Ponfick will be held Thursday October 6, at 10:00 a.m. in the Carmine City Cemetery, with Pastor Karen Nelson officiating. Peggy Jean Ponfick was born August 5, 1933 to Fede and Frieda Roemer Ponfick in Carmine Texas. She graduated Carmine High School in 1950. Peggy worked for the Steadley Manufacturing Co. in Brenham for many years. Peggy was an avid bowler and played soft ball, she was an Astros fan. Peggy is a member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church of Carmine. Peggy is survived by her nieces and nephews: Michael and Janell Ponfick, Debbie Ponfick Lewis, Pan and Charles Kounsler, Harry Butch Yant, and Mary Ann and Wilbert Rogas. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Alfred Sonny Ponfick, Bill Ponfick, and Fred Ponfick, sister Tootle Lucille Levern, Myrtle Guelker, and Nippy Yant.
