Perry William Rudloff, 85, of Burton, husband of Elvera Rudloff, died May 26, 2010 in College Station Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Martin Luther Lutheran Church of Carmine, with interment following in the Shelby Cemetery. Pastor Paul Bohot will officiate. The family will receive friends and relatives at Memorial Oaks Chapel Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Perry was born October 20, 1924 in Shelby to Ben and Elsie Ehrigson Rudloff. He was baptized in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby by Rev. M. C. Hoermann on February 22, 1925 and confirmed September 11, 1938 by Rev. Julius Bosshard in the same church. Educated in the Willow Springs area schools, he later attended Blinn College. Perry was a proud veteran, serving his country during World War II as part of the 32nd Div. of the U. S. Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star On October 11, 1980, he married Elvera Braun in St. Paul s Lutheran Church of Rehburg. He was employed as a tile setter for Fisher Tile for 38 years, and was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church of Carmine. Perry was a charter member of Shelby American Legion Post 602, the Buddy Wright Post of the American Legion, the James F. Dillon of the VFW, and was also a member of the DAV Survivors include his wife, Elvera Rudloff of Burton; brother and sister-in-law Wendell and Maxine Rudloff of Shelby; sisters and brothers-in-law Dolores Zickuhr of Columbus, and Evelyn and Malcolm Koepnick of Schulenburg; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Reuben and Nadine Braun of Houston, and sister-in-law Ruby Rudloff. His parents preceded him in death, as well as a brother, Burnie Rudloff, and a brother-in-law John Zickuhr. Serving as pallbearers are Ron Hilburn, Jerry Herrmann, Eugene Muehlbrad, Jaris Zickuhr, Kenny Braun, and Bradley Rudloff. Honorary pallbearers are Arnold Peters, Darren Rudloff, and employees of Fisher Tile. Memorials may be directed to Martin Luther Lutheran Church of Carmine, or to the Shelby Cemetery Association.
