Peter Cockle

Peter Cockle, 78, husband of Claudia Maddox Cockle, passed away May 27, 2012 in Brenham Rest Home. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. in St. John''s United Church of Christ in Burton, with Pastor Glenn Schoeneberg officiating. The family requests that colorful, casual clothing be worn to the service. No black clothing, please! Peter was born October 22, 1933 in the United Kingdom, and served in the Royal Air Force. He was a pilot for the RAF in the Korean Conflict. Peter was a CFO for several companies throughout his career in the finance industry. Survivors include his wife, Claudia Cockle of Burton; son and daughter-in-law Justin and Michelle Cockle of Highlands, TX.; daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Ross Bates of Brenham; grandchildren: Michael, Christian, Lilly, and Hailey; special niece, Diane; brother and sister-in-law, Derek and Eve Cockle of Alberta, Canada, as well as several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, as well as several Royal Air Force friends in the U.K. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. John''s United Church of Christ Building Fund in Burton.
