Funeral services for Phuoc Thi Nguyen, wife of Ven Duc Nguyen, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Father Benedict Zientek will officiate. Phuoc Thi Nguyen passed away January 31, 2013 in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan at the age of 65. Mrs. Nguyen was born February 28, 1948 in Can Tho, Hau Giang, Vietnam. She was baptized March 26, 1967, and confirmed March 27, 1967. On February 1, 1965, she was married to Ven Duc Nguyen, and lovingly took care of her family as a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Ven Duc Nguyen; sons and daughters-in-law Long Duc Nguyen and Giau Thi Pham, Vinh Duc Nguyen and Phuoc Kim Luon, Kevin Duc Nguyen and Giang Thi My, all of Brenham, and Quang Duc Nguyen and Truc Thi Nguyen of Cypress; daughter and son-in-law Kim Linh Thi Nguyen and Xuong Van Nguyen of Vietnam; grandchildren: Tuyet Thi Nguyen, Thoa Thi Nguyen, Toan Duc Nguyen, Thang Duc Nguyen, Anh Duc Nguyen, Tina Nguyen, Lucy Nguyen, and Andy Duc Nguyen. Also surviving is a sister and brother-in-law, Tan Thi Nguyen and Muoi Van Tran of Gendale, Illinois. A casketing ceremony will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
