Ralph Wittner, 83, born in Brenham, Texas on February 22, 1938 to B.J. and Lennis Koehn Wittner passed to his heavenly home on April 9, 2021, following a courageous battle with stage four pancreatic cancer, COPD, and other chronic illnesses, at his home in Brenham, Texas.

Due to Covid-19 face masks are required to attend all services.

Visitation will be from 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with the family present from 5 - 6.30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastor Pat Dietrich officiating. A family burial service will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

He attended Alamo and Central Elementary Schools in Brenham. A Brenham High School graduate of the class of 1956, Blinn College in 1958, and received his BBA degree from Sam Houston University in 1960.He was a lifetime member of The Students Association.

Ralph was married to Carolyn Quebe on July 1,1962 at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church, Berlin in Brenham, TX by Rev. Paul Banitt.

He was a longtime resident of the Houston area and employed by Houston Coca-Cola Bottling Company, AKA Coca Cola Enterprises. After 35 years of employment, he retired in 1995 as Region Manager- Financial Operations.

During his time in the Houston area, he was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church Bellaire, participating in all areas. Currently a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran in Brenham, where he was baptized and confirmed by the Rev. T.R. Streng, Ralph was known as the funeral usher. He was also the blood drive coordinator, and served on the church council and other committees.

Ralph served his country as a member of the Air National Guard with active duty at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado, also serving six years in reserve duty at Ellington AFB in Houston.

Ralph enjoyed the occasional golf outing with Webby and Jeep, also Jack and Donald. Hunting deer was fun especially the camp life. He was an avid sports fan of the Astros, Rockets, Texans, and college teams. Time was spent by the Astrodome, Summit, etc. as a loyal fan.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Pat Quebe of Brenham; nieces and family, Debbie and Scott Morris, Jared, Hayden and Oliva, Holly and Stephen West, and Morgan and Jason of Magnolia. Extended family, Tim and Donna Culliver, Andrew, Cali, and Little Paul and Angel Adam. Special lifetime friends, Dorothy and Jack (deceased) Hicks. A neighborhood of caring and helpful people. Ralph was a people person.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in law, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers are Donald Ahrens, Ralph Becker, Troy Becker, Raymond Koehn, Col. Scott Morris, Stephen West, Heath Winkelmann, and Vance Winkelmann.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Culliver, Andrew Culliver, Cara Gilmore, Dorothy Hicks, Hayden Morris, Capt. Jared Morris, and Arthur Hahn.
