Randy Stiewert

Randy Allen Stiewert, 56, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Taylor, Texas on November 3, 2016.

Randy was born to Virgil and Ida Bell Stiewert on September 7, 1960. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith on April 16, 1961, and confirmed by Pastor Jon Siemsglusz on May 25, 1975 at Grace Lutheran Church.

Randy graduated from Brenham High School in 1979. He enjoyed spending time with family, as well as playing baseball, football, poker, and fantasy football. Randy never met a stranger. Everywhere he went, there was someone he knew. He was always filled with so much knowledge, wisdom, and inspiration. Randy was a loving father, son, husband, brother, uncle and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Laurie Stiewert; daughters Kellie Stiewert, Demi Stiewert, Kristi Gonzalez and Holly Matlock; son, Tanner Stiewert; sons-in-law Payton Smetana, James Matlock V, and Oscar Gonzalez; parents Virgil and Ida Bell Stiewert; brothers Myron and Virgil Stiewert; sister-in-law Sherry Stiewert, and nephew, Jason Stiewert; grandchildren: James VI, Jeremiah and Jojo Matlock, Anthony Gonzalez.

Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emil and Ruby Loewe, and Reinhardt and Laura Stiewert.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. Burial will be in Waldeck Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
