Raymond Wagner, Iii

Raymond Paul Lucky Wagner, III, 44, of Shelby, died Feb. 22, 2005, in Breckenridge Hospital in Austin. Lucky was born July 15, 1960, in Brenham, to R.P. Jr. and Willie Mae Boeker Wagner. He was baptized Aug. 28, 1960, in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby by Rev. Waldemar Wendell and was confirmed June 2, 1974 in the same church by Rev. Don Vlasak. Lucky was a graduate of Bellville High School. Lucky was employed as a ranch manager for Wichita Ranch in Brenham. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby, Hubert Lodge 67, A.F.&A.M., American Quarter Horse Association, Burton Booster Club and was active in all Washington County Little League events. Survivors include his son, Cody Wagner of Brenham; daughter, Cacie Wagner of Burton; parents, R.P. and Willie Mae Wagner of Shelby; sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy Roesler of Brenham, Linda and Rudy Tiemann of Brenham and Kelly Bauerkemper of Round Top; the mother of his children, Kathy Payne Wagner of Burton; father-in-law, Donald Duck Payne of Jonesboro; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doug and Kathleen Payne and Terry and Jearld Short; numerous nieces, and nephews; and a great-niece, and a great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Jean Wagner; brothers-in-law, David Roesler and L.C. Bauerkemper; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Boeker and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond P. Wagner, Sr.; and his mother-in-law, Juanita Payne. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby with Pastor Pam Werrell officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham, under the auspices of Hubert Lodge 67, A.F.&A.M. The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 and at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25. Pallbearers will be Roy Carter, Bennett Sachtleben, Robert Tappe, Craig Bauer, Gene Krivacka, Bryan Kirts, Landry Fuchs and Polly Hollar. Lucky s relatives and friends will be considered honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Cody and Cacie Wagner, Lucky Wagner Children s Fund, in care of Round Top State Bank, P.O. Box 36, Round Top, TX 78954. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Foehner Funeral Home in Burton.
