Reakus Kohl

Reakus Kohl, 84, of Brenham, died April 14, 2003, at his residence. Mr. Kohl was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Kentland, IN, to Reakus Henry and Lilly Marion Leminger Kohl. On Dec. 13, 1944, he married Juanelle Brister in Riverside, CA. Mr. Kohl was a carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Juanelle Kohl of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law, Reakus Jr. and Donna Kohl of Livingston and Hubert and Diane Kohl of Seattle, WA; daughters and sons-in-law, LaSharon and Don Thompson of Brenham and Marion and Mike Lee of Riverside, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Mariana and Lieman Robinson of Camden, AR; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patricia; stepson, Gary Ring; and great-grandson, Christopher Murdock. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 18 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Rick Kohl, Donnie Thompson, George Longoria, Steve Allen, Jason Lovelace and Shawn Hensen. Memorials may be given to Hospice, 705 S. Austin St., Brenham, TX 77833.
