Richard Alan "Dick" Boll, 73, of Brenham, husband of Sally Brock Boll, died Sept. 2, 2012 at his residence. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Brent Hampton officiating. Interment will take place in Prairie Lea Cemetery at 10 a.m. preceding the service. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Richard Boll was born November 26, 1938 in Columbus, IN to Chester and Norma Evelyn Scott Boll. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam Conflict as a radar operator aboard the U.S.S. Mullany. Richard was a member of Brenham Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. The owner of Brenham Roofing and Sheet Metal Co. for over 25 years, he was a draftsman by trade, with a deep interest in architecture. Richard was a great fan of Nascar and Indy 500 races. He was especially fond of Corvettes, and loved traveling to various destinations in the U.S. Survivors include his wife, Sally; sons Scott Boll Sharon, Jared Eyster, and Joel Eyster Michelle; daughters, Jennifer Pitts Danny and Kathryn Eyster Kwiatkowski Mark; grandchildren: Cord Roberson and Katie Cranney, Megan Roberson Sheehan Ryan, Allison Pitts and Seth McCarty, Evelyn Boll, Brandon Boll, Alex Eyster, and Ashley Eyster; great-grandchildren: Killian Sheehan, and arriving Nov. 10, 2012, Jaxson Wade McCarty. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Margaret Peggy Boll. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Pitts, Scott Boll, Jared Eyster, Cord Roberson, Ryan Sheehan, Seth McCarty, Mark Kwiatkowski, Mark Beckendorf, George Wilding, John Evans, and the ushers at Brenham Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be directed to any favorite charity. Funeral arrangements for Richard Alan Boll are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
