Richard Edmund Dube, 87, of Brenham, died October 4, 2004, at Bluebonnet Hills Care Center in Brenham. Mr. Dube was born October 17, 1916, in Fedor, Texas, to Emil Julius and Emma Domann Dube. He was baptized Oct. 19, 1916, in Fedor, Lee County, Texas and was confirmed April 13, 1930, in Fedor. On April 5, 1942, he married Josephine Lerche in Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor. Mr. Dube was employed by the Texas Department of Transportation for 25 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Dube of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Kathy Dube of Kerens; grandsons, Nathan Dube of Kent State, Ohio and Cameron Dube of Austin; sisters, Gertrude Zschech and Laura Zschech, both of Giddings; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Frieda Dube; and brothers-in-law, Carl Zschech and Monroe Zschech. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7 in Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Walter Dube and Pastor Matthew Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Cameron Dube, Nathan Dube, Howard Knippa, Gus Zschech, Dale Strickland and Butch Watson. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church Radio Ministry or The Lutheran Hour .
