Richard Michael Stegemeier, 59, of Burton, died November 29, 2013, at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 2 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Rev. Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Rick was born February 20, 1954 in Orange City, CA, to Richard Joseph and Marjorie Ann Spess Stegemeier. He loved his family. He loved aviation, always wanting to be a fighter pilot, enjoyed shooting guns and being outdoors on his property. He always enjoyed going to Unity Theater, rarely missing a performance. He loved sitting on the back porch watching the sunset with his wife, watching football with his sons, listening to his daughter sing and spending time with his grandsons. His family includes his wife, Paige Quinn Stegemeier of Burton; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard James and Stephanie Shelton Stegemeier of Sugar Land and Steven Michael Stegemeier of Lubbock; daughter, Callie Anne Stegemeier of Burton; father, Richard Stegemeier of Anaheim, CA; brother, Dave Stegemeier and wife Susie of Morrison, CO; sisters, Laura Whited and husband Mike of Bentonville, AR and Martha Tesh and husband Mark of Simpsonville, SC; and grandchildren, Luke Stegemeier and Owen Stegemeier, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Ann Spess Stegemeier. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
