Robert Blanchard

Robert James "Bobby" Blanchard, 73, of Brenham, husband of Mary West Blanchard died April 5, 2014 in Overton, Texas. A graveside services is scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. Pastor Larry Embry will officiate. Bobby Blanchard was born Sept. 4, 1940 in Wharton to Sidney E. and Verna Brown Blanchard. He served in the U. S. Air Force, retiring after 23 years of service, including service during the Viet Nam War. Survivors include his wife, Mary Blanchard of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Timothy Males and their daughter Kaitlyn of Alvin; son and daughter-in-law Robert Scott and Susan Blanchard of Brenham, and his sons James Skaja and wife Sarah, and their daughter Tori; and grandson Frankie of Michigan; Brandon Brewer and wife Angela and their daughter Ryette of Tomball, and a sister, Doris Dickerson of Austin.
