Robert Courtney

Robert S. Courtney, 57, of Katy, died Jan. 11, 2006 at Birch Creek Park, near Somerville, Texas. Mr. Courtney was born Nov. 15, 1948, in Wayland, New York, to Harry H. and Eleanor F. Gessner Courtney. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 to 1969. On April 20, 1974, he was married to Pamela J. Hartzell in Naples, New York. He was a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service. Survivors include his wife, Pamela J. Courtney of Katy; son, Harry H. Courtney of Katy; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Rob Reddin of Katy; grandchild, Reagan A. Reddin; and brothers, Michael Courtney of Katy and John Courtney of Willis. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Standish. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials may be given to Texas Parks and Wildlife, 4200 Smith School Rd., Austin, TX 78744.
