Robert James Kasprowicz, 58, of Katy, passed away October 20, 2010 in League City, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary''s Catholic Church with Father David Ivey, officiant. Visitation with the family will be at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. Saturday. Born March 13, 1952 in Brenham to Frank and Valeria Kopycinski Kasprowicz, Robert was baptized and confirmed in St. Mary''s Catholic Church. He was a 1970 graduate of Brenham High School, and worked for Blue Bell Creameries as an Operations Manager in Katy. A member of the Knights of Columbus, he enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. Robert always thoroughly enjoyed his favorite meal of chicken fried steak. Survivors include a daughter, Leigh Green and husband Les; grandson, Brendan Robert Green; brothers and sisters-in-law: Dan and Bev Kasprowicz, Charles and Denice Kasprowicz, and Tommy and Patsy Kasprowicz; sisters and brothers-in-law: Esther and Webster Hart, Liz and Clyde Alexander, Agnes and David Gerland; sisters: Margaret Kasprowicz, and Cindy Whitehead; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Valeria Kasprowicz, and infant sister, Gladys Marie. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
