Robert Franklin Mills, 85, of Brenham, TX, died Jan. 8, 2004, in Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center in Brenham. Mr. Mills was born Dec. 28, 1918, in Athens, TX, to George Burton and Maybella Darby Mills. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Mills was retired from Dallas Power and Light and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Oma Mills of Washington; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Ken Hill and Patricia Mills, all of Brenham, Lynn and Billy Holder of Waxahachie and Teresa Wilder of Dallas; brother and sister-in-law, George Burton and Rosie Mills of Ferris; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11 at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham with Rev. Steve Ponder officiating, followed by a service under the auspices of Graham Lodge 20 AF&AM. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials may be given to Hospice Brazos Valley, 705 S. Austin, Brenham, TX 77833. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
