Robert Nesbit

Robert Donald Nesbit, 66, of Welcome, died August 6, 2010 at ChristusDubuis Hospital in Bryan. The family will receive friends and relatives at Memorial Oaks Chapel beginning at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010, with a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Harrell officiating. There will be a celebration of life to follow at the Welcome Store. Robert was born on November 8, 1943 in Deposit, NY to George Nesbit and Marion Orth Nesbit. On December 11, 1971 in Afton, NY, he was married to Andrea Davey. He was a carpenter by trade and always had a project in the works, for himself or others. Bob loved spending time with his family and treasured being with his grandchildren and playing with them. Before his illness, he also loved hunting and spending time outdoors. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Andrea Nesbit of Welcome, daughters and son-in-law, Alicia and Chad Eckermann of New Ulm, and Michele Nesbit of Scranton, PA, and son, Michael Nesbit of Old Forge, NY. Also survived by grandchildren, Andrea Andie Eckermann and Case Eckermann, sister-in-law Maria Nesbit of Cordova, TN, sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlene and Robert Barron of Zebulon, NC, and Cheryl Tiffany and Buddy Adcock of Dahlonega, GA, as well as several nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Richard Nesbit. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham, 979 836-4564.
